Yes, we got secretly married during the pandemic...
In April 2020, Donovan and Kate were married at the local courthouse in the presence of Kate's Aunt and Donovan's Sister.
​
The couple exchanged vows in secret to ensure they could be together and take care of each other during the unknown times of a pandemic.
The postponed celebration with family and friends is planned for a future date to include the celebration of the birth of their son, Remy, who was born in March 2021.

Born and raised in Richmond, Donovan has dedicated his life to improving the lives of others. Whether founding companies focused on harm-reduction, inventing new technologies for fire fighters, or just a unique escape experience from the ordinary day, Donovan is an entrepreneur, inventor, engineer, artist, and creator at heart.

KATE
Kate grew up in Virginia Beach and has dedicated her life to science and improving education. After completing her PhD in Physics in the midwest, she returned to Virginia to continue her goals to better the world of education and enriching the lives of those she meets along the way. Kate loves to learn and try anything new. She is an enthusiast of astronomy, baking, art, music, nature, and every culinary palate.

Kate is known for her overwhelming love for animals, most importantly her rescue pitbull, Maxwell.
Donovan and Kate

They met in 2019 and fell head-over-heels for each other after the first date, when they shared their first Dragon's Milk together. They quickly became inseparable as they shared the same taste in so many things, including their love for music, art, food, exploring, and spontaneity. Donovan taught Kate how to shoot archery and Kate showed Donovan how to sing and play guitar. Both believe they were meant to find each other and now bear the Red String of Fate tattooed on their pinky fingers as a sign of their soulmate connection and twin flame destiny.

Both are fiercely dedicated to their families, spending much of their free time with loved ones. Donovan, better known as "Strong Honey" and Kate, better known as "Sweet Honey", have had the luxury of sharing many hours with Kate's co-habitant, Aunt Vick. As a power-couple they have had a "dress rehearsal" as new homeowners by fixing up both Kate and Donovan's houses throughout their relationship. They love home-repair and it's terrifyingly hilarious. When most couples go out on Date Night, it's a fancy dinner out and a movie, Donovan and Kate's date night includes Home Depot runs, power tools, and getting down to business on some fun project...and if Donovan has his way something will be set on fire by the end of the night.
Within that same spectrum, Donovan began to teach Kate to do Magic...including Fire Magic. On the night that Donovan proposed to Kate he made the ring appear in a FLASH of fire in Kate's hand, which included a very warm ring and a very surprised and happy Kate, who immediately said Yes.
Strangers have told Donovan and Kate that their energy and love is infectious. They hope that their love and genuine dedication to each other will inspire and resonate with everyone they know, love, and meet.
